The ticket was a Powerball, and the drawing was on April 7^th. Each ticket was worth one million dollars. She said that, “I picked numbers based on my parents anniversary and their ages at the time, divided by the year they were married.” said Virginia. 14 other people nationwide matched 5 of the 6 numbers and they each got 1 million dollars, and two of the winning tickets were from Virginia. Pike was in the hospital visiting her mother when she saw the numbers on the TV screen.
